Former Google China President Kai-Fu Lee who has worked for Apple in the past had some interesting information about the Apple tablet.  Mr. Lee wrote on his Twitter like microblog:

Apple’s stock (AAPL) on Thursday surged $6.94, or 3.4 percent, to close at a record high of $209.04 from rumors of  the iSlate, iPad tablet. On November 21, 2006 a company called Slate Computing (registered in Delaware) filed for a US word mark for ‘iSLATE’. Notably, that was right around the time at least three islate-related domain names were registered.
